Trees without a rootball are lifted with Damcon Selectors, allowing for selective lifting. We have various machines that can be used depending on the size of the tree.
Trees with rootballs are lifted using a Pazzaglia or a Holmac rootball lifting machine. By using the latest machines, we are able to lift the trees efficiently and quickly.
This allows us to limit our delivery time to one day. The clay soil is perfect for making rootballs. The advantage is that the rootball retains its shape and the clay perfectly retains its water. Even when these rootballs have to remain above ground a little longer in the winter, that’s no problem at all. At Combinatie Mauritz, we can prepare up to 1,000 rootballs a day and lift 2,000 bare root trees a day.
